well I am very excited to see the finished results... i havent seen a recent post on one of your threads so thats why i started my own thread... but as i recall from way back you were expecting it back in november???

 

Complications happened. Winter and snow are here, I have no rush...but I should have updates by end of month.

From a freeway rollon, would you say the CL65 AMG with an ECU tune is pretty much unbeatable by any other AMG's?

The fastest AMG's put up against it can have full boltons but no sauce

Is the CL65 that quick, now this is free way runs only I am refering too brutha.

 

It is tough to say the way I see the 55K trapping these days they would give them a good run for the money. A healthy 65 on a freeway roll is very tough to beat but keep in mind they start falling flat on their faces at the back half of the quarter due to the poor design of the manifolds and tiny turbos. Weight plays a big factor as well. A full bolt on 55's trapping 127-130 would give it a god run for sure.

 

This thread has to be a classic. Not only is the poor guy overcoming hurdles that must be just unreal.....now he is getting bit*ched out for not delivering precisely on time of his estimate.

With these types of projects, patience is key. It'd be a lot better to do things right the first time around than rush it and have to do re-fix things later.

Do you think the weight difference between an SL65 and CL65 would give the SL the edge?

 

If i recall the SL is slightly lighter from what others have said. The only advantage the CL would have is the weight transfer advantage when launching and Aerodynamics might be better on the CL also.
