I have not timed how long it takes to warm up however I had a cls55 and the time seems about right. The cabin stays warm when you have garage at the house and office. The CEL light went on for the first time after I went out to dinner the other night and the car sat for a few hours and was dead cold and single digit temp. outside. So time will tell.

If it was the gas cap, it would have said so in red on the dash. Mine has done that several times. Now the question is ...... when your were filling her up, was the engine running? Also... you may want to check for a vacuum leak, that happened to me also. As the motor is running check behind the left side of the motor. That's were I found my leak.
