E55 AMG
IBM's are great but Mac's are great which one should I get? Maybe I'll just stick to my abacus.
Just boost the damn civic, and don't mind us having some fun at your expense, gotta understand your questions slight silliness given the striking contrast of the vehicles u are considering.
Have you driven a healthy 55? Warp drive can, for some of us prove entertaining enough that we forget that we are driving biggie piggies. All hail torque, because it wins. So wins.

Sorry lol i just purchased the elise but im looking to buy an e55 in the future. I think the cars would compliment each other very well. Take turns quick on the twisties and kill people in straight lines with the e55.

You guys are kidding, right?
I own a 63 and an Elise. I am 6'0 and can ride in both.
The AMG is my DD and I love it. It is powerful comfortable and beautiful.
It is not a sports car. It will never be a sports car. The ride is soft and pleasant, but not sporty. It's power is fun for awhile, but when you have driven z06's, vipers, well sorted GT2's, etc., it just feels like powerful DD.
The Lotus is rough, visceral and certainly not luxurious.
It is and always will be a sports car.
The handling is incredible, and if forced induction is added, the car is plenty quick.
Don't hate on the lotus if you don't understand it, or if you just don't like sports cars.

That being said, my best friend had an Elise for 18 months, and i have plenty of seat time. I dont know if I "understand" the car, but I can tell you that I'm 6"2 and thought it was a pain in the *** to get in and out, and while it was the stickiest car I have ever driven in the turns, it does feel like a grown up's go kart, no ifs, ands or buts to it. Its not a Porsche TT, pure and simple - not many things are. However, its a novelty car.

Oh chillax, newbie. Dont blow too much smoke on your first posting. Its an e63 AMG forum, for heavens' sake. What did you (or the OP) think we'd all say...."Buy the Lotus"?

It's not like members here know nothing about Lotus.

We probably know the pros and cons better than him.

fwiw, I'd take an older Elan or Europa just to have a true Lotus. The current cars (owned by Proton, a Malaysian manufacturer) are more of an amalgam of things than what Lotus once was when Colin Chapman was running the show.
There are now Lotus in the name only.
btw, a buddy of mine has a real Lotus 7 (not a Caterham) that's street legal here in CA. It's crazy fun to drive.

We prefer to embarrass them.
Also, before you get all butthurt over the thread you might want to take note that OP is talking about a lotus over and e55 not an e63.
Two very different cars.
Also, this thread needs to die already.
