My understanding is that your need the STAR diagnostics tool for it, and activates cooling -10C earlier than your normal oem MB setting. So basically your car should be running 10C cooler

actually what is happening is the thermostat is being opened 10* sooner than the oem setting. once the car reaches the normal operating temp it becomes mute. no added hp. i have it on mine and it helps the engine stay a bit cooler during the hot season

you can't control your thermostat by Star, this mod make the fan operate earlier. you can set it when temp reachs for example 90, 85, 95, etc.
not the thermostat.
however, i have replaced my thermostat with 71C = 159.8 or 160F and when i am cruising it is one dash less than berfore
cost me 15$

although mine is 160F/ 71C temps on the guage is 85C when driving, 80C if cruising or driving like a granny.
maybe our weather or i think the thermostat is not openning 100% due to slight diffrence in design.
i ordered 180F that is 100% identical to our thermostat.
i orderedan OBDii to read my IAt and everything. i need to know my car status very well.

I thought i have to chance my thermostat to an PTE-Thermostat or something like that.
Is just 10* possible or 5* also for example by star???
