275s or 285s or 295s on 20x10 ET42? Pix?
Anyone know if I can squeeze 295/25s on 20x10 ET42 without rubbing? Is there any offset that can safely run a 295?
I have 285s currently... need new tires and for some reason the 275s or 295s are A LOT cheaper than 285s! I know this topic get discussed to death but I've searched and haven't found a definitive answer...
Does anyone have pictures comparing the profile of a 20x10 on 275/30 vs 285/25 vs 295/25?
Thanks in advance!

Not sure of my offset, but it was a DPE-S10 made for an E55. 285/25/20 Nitto Invo, slammed, only rubbed turn into a steep driveway. If I took my time, it wouldn't even rub on sport 2.
Hopefully that somewhat helps, haha. Sorry.

You might be pushing your luck with out rolling the fenders. If your car was not lowered i would say you might be good but slammed I dont think that is going to work but I could be wrong. Just roll your fenders and put on the 295's

Thanks Jayhawk, I can roll the fenders thats no problem, but my main concern after that would be rubbing? I am quite the "spirited" driver haha so would SUCK if car rubbed...
Anyone else confirm this?

I ran a 295/30/19 (shouldn't matter you have a 20) on a 19/9.5 et +35.
so with a 10 inch rim and offset of 42, you are 13 mm further "in" on the inside and 1mm in more on the out side...might rub?
if you run a 5 mm spacer, your off set goes to +37, now you are 8mm further "in" on the inside, and 4 mm further out on the outside edge
I think the best would be to run a 10mm spacer, net offset +32et...now you are 3mm further in on the inside and 9mm further out on the outside. No problem running a 295!
if you do a search for a member named Jangy, he wrote many threads about offsets and fitting wide tires.
I got all of the above info from the following website

good luck

Thank you!!!!!!!!
Doesn't look like its worth the headache... especially if I have to run spacers... although that 295 would be great for traction
lol

As per Jangy heres what he said in one of his posts...
Slow down. I'm running HREs with 295s and no rubbing at all. 10 inch rims with an offset of 40

i remember he used to post about some tires being wider than others of the same "size"
I know I went from a 285 mich pilot a/s to a bridgestone 295 and the tires didn't seem that much wider?
I think he might have been using 17's or 18's so he could put on drag radials too?
