The car has Z06 wheels on the rear with 305/35/18 MT DRs. It's a common setup and both C5 Z06 rears or C6 Z06 fronts can work on the rear of a CTS-V. The car is full weight. The transmission was bone stock. From what I understand, the car made a few 9 second passes and some low 10 passes, but the trans. started slipping later in the day.

As it was mentioned before, the car wasnt being launched hard, I can only imagine if it was..and like you say the tranny was starting to give towards the end..so i would say if hes making all that power (800 WTQ ) on a stock tranny and perhaps tq converter then hooking wouldnt be the best bet..still a monster
Big Boys numbers he's got there!!

I don't know if he made any passes off the spray that day, but that car has gone 10.5 at 130+ this past Summer (DA 1200+). Not sure who's going to build the trans, but I hope he gives some details if it works out for him. A lot of guys are looking for somebody that can build a nice 6l90. The trans has really held up well in these cars, but there's only so much that can be expected I guess from a stock trans trying to live up to nearly double the factory tq. output.
If the traction was there, he probably could have ramped the N20 in a bit more aggressively. CTS-V's have 60 ft. 1.49 - low 1.5's with way less power than he has, so I imagine he left a little time on the table there.
