Side Mirror Ambient Light
Hi. I am going to change the side mirrors ambient lights which are on the bottom, but am having a hard time figuring out what bulb they are. The lens does not pop out easily like most of the bulbs on the car so I am assuming it has to be taken out through the inside. Anyways, I think the bulb is a T10 or wedge bulb, but just want to be sure before ordering. Thanks guys!

BTW, I found the thread below and I believe the bulb I am going to be changing out is the one coming off the wire. It looks like a T10 wedge bulb, but just want to confirm, thanks.

I'm pretty sure it's the same bulb that's used for city lights, I believe it's a 194. Be sure to use one with a resistor built in to prevent any errors. Someone has already done this in C219 amg section, try searching it up good luck

Yeah I figured it out and it is the 194, T10, w5w bulb that is needed. From what I researched the only bulbs that cause issues that I know of are the following: parking lights (position lights or eyelid lights), side marker lights, fog lights, and license plate lights.
I ordered the set below.

While on the subject, does anyone here know where these lights are wired up? I'm trying to add them to my car and was trying to avoid using the rear dome light as the trigger.

Here are a couple PDF's explaining how this is done. One details how to get the glass off. The other explains how to pull the outside shell off so that you can get at the light.

It is very easy to remove the glass to get to the bulb! All you do is simply press on the outside part of the mirror somewhat hard and it will pop out. It is held in with two connectors that easily come undone. Hope this helps

The bulb is in there and all u have to do is twist it and it comes out, but the wire doesn't have any slack so don't yank on it too hard. . Broke my ankle tonight and have a cast now, so I can't walk to the car and take pictures

It's a T10 or w5w bulb. Check out my post in this thread below for all information regarding bulbs!

Yeah the W5W works for me, but when the car is off they flicker about every five seconds, but you cannot see it unless your in complete darkness which is why I just noticed it about 2 weeks ago. I think it has to do with them taking less voltage or something.
