More ways to cool down you IAT's

Spoke to a buddie of mine who is an AMG tech at a dealer out here. He says he's seen some sort of "spacer on the intake for the s/c" which apparently generously reduces the IAT numbers. Have you guys seen this done or know what the hell he's talking about?? According to him, they only cost about $100 and do some seroius good to our high numbers....

What exactly are they? Do they work? Do you guys think thats what he saw? He said they look like they were porcelain. My bud could not explain it because I think it was the first time he's seen them...

They will make 0 difference as our high IATs come from the heat of compressing the air, not from heat transfer from the cylinder heads. Waste of time, money and effort.

some people say..everybit helps.

I tend to disagree, unless you track your car for a living.

pump, H/E and split of IC coolant lines. Anything after is not going to be worth doing.

If we had the option to upgrade the IC core.. then it would be worth it at a resonable price.
