Hello, new here. Just bought an E55

Pic is a bit crappy, however wanted to get one up asap, since I know I will be hounded until I do. New to MBWorld, not new to forums. (Read, I know how to use search.)

Been lurking for a little while and as usual, good forums have a lot of good info. So thanks.

To the meat of things....
2005 E55, Obs. Black, 46k miles, Renntech tune with pulley.
It looks like it has an E63 rear spoiler, and some headlight jewelry I am not sure I like yet. Going to let those soak in a while.
Wheels I like, just not sure of the make. 19" with 275 rear and 245 front.
LED Brake lights, flat badge and black grill.

Not many options. Premium Pkg(Pano, 6CD), Nav, lighting pkg (Xenons)

My 335i with mods was impressive, this thing is just downright scary fast. And torque... well I know I don't have to even say anything. I think I am going to have to upgrade my older Passport 8500.

The only mod I am looking at in the near term is the exhaust. From what I read, an x pipe and secondary delete would give me a nice growl at WOT and not much more than stock sound for cruising and idle. I do not want ANY drone. My 335 exhaust had drone and I hated it.

I will put up a few more pics when the weather breaks here. Been really crappy out lately.

Bill

That looks like a nice event. Will have to see. I am at Watkins Glen the weekend before, and although I have an understanding wife, she has limits.

Bill,
Wives are invited. Mine will be at dinner Sat. night. There is a huge shoping mall, Polaris, that she can get lost in while we talk cars.

You may have something there... Used to live in Sunbury. Polaris area was just being built when we moved. Plus we have some friends in the area.
Will let you know. Thanks.

Welcome! She looks great! For your exhaust sounding needs (and the best performance mod you can do to these cars) get some headers. It will sound 1000 times better and plant your *** proper

Welcome Bill!

You made my day reading your comment above! Good for you!

I agree with Marcus the head light things need to go! Otherwise she's a sweet looking ride. Love the Monarch wheels

Already am... WPOZZZ looks familiar. You over at Rennlist? I spent quite a bit of time over there when I had my 964. Like this site, a wealth of good info.

Congrats on the purchase! Sharp looking car. Plus, it is great to see a new e55 owner that can think for themselves after what has been going on around here lately.

Interesting to note you're happy with the sound of your car at idle and want it louder at WOT. I've bn trying to figure out a way to get my 06 louder at idle while retaining the sound level at WOT...!
