e55 kleemann stage 1 cooling question
hi, i am new to the board and the MB's coming from the audi b5 s4 world...
i now have a 06 e55 and for first mod i am looking to just do the kleemann stage 1 and since its not a big pulley do i need to upgrade my cooling system? If so will just a higher flow pump suffice like the cm30 or cm90 for the 168mm pulley?
thanks in advance

Depending on your climate. I'd say get a cheap datalogger (150-ish) first to see how your system is really doing before you start throwing parts at it.
A larger heat exchanger will help too

K2 has been on my car since June and I run the stock updated pump. I have never had the kompressor shut down on me.
Not to say it's no use in upgrading those components, just telling you my experience.
I'm not so sure how much more performance mods this car will accrue, so I'm reluctant to say it may stay like this for a while until I can afford her stable mate.

The whole idea behind Kleeman using the smaller pulley is to add power within the parameters of the stock cooling capacity. Just make sure you have a functioning/current ic pump.
Good luck.

what kinda data logger is popular for the e55's? with the audis we used vagcom and could pretty much do everything in it for from fats times to fuel mappings and all in between for about $300

489 to wheels - its actually like stage 3+.... i have tial 605s on it with meth with stock top end... you can get 550 to the wheel out of the 605 turbos with built top end but i didnt want to spend any more $$ on it and 489 at the wheels in 3500lb awd car is already way fast lol.... the tial 770 turbos make in the 650-700 range to the wheels but they require top and bottom end build so it cost quite a bit more... and i didnt want to spend that much

we've yet to really see what the GT and tial cars are running cuz no ones done it yet.... with 600-800 whp those guys are really big into the 60-130mph numbers.. there are a few of the tial770s and GT s4's running in the 6's 60-130
but they are a PITA! I cant tell you how many times something goes wrong on them.... Sooooo looking forward to having a luxury sedan that puts high 400 whp without having to work on it every other day
