What to expect after S/C Bearing replacement

What should I expect after replacing the supercharger bearing? Will there be smoother engagement? I know the grinding noise will be gone.
I'm overdue for Service C as well.

No chirp and smoother engagement, typically. And idk what grinding sound you have but that does NOT sound good at all

It will make your S/C boost higher jp definitely should be smoother and the grinding noise will be gone in your case

no it won't be smoother...it should be the same as before..

only if you take out the thin-washer..and that will make the gap smaller..(since the friction plate is worn)

feeler gauge to make sure there's clearance

Hey Vlad can I come into the shop for my service C and bearing install on Friday (tomorrow)? I think Service C is only tranny flush.

fasho see you tomorrow. I need service C as well. I think all I need is a tranny service. Can you turn the notification that I am overdue without flashing the car back to stock?

YES YOU CAN RE-GAP YOUR ORIG. CLUTCH.CLEARANCE SHOULD BE .35-.45 MM,THERE WILL(SHOULD) BE SHIMS UNDER THE EXISTING S/C CLUTCH,IF YOU CAN'T GET THE CORRECT GAP YOU WILL NEED TO FIND SHIMS OR REPLACE THE FRICTION ASSY.REMOVE THE SHIMS AS NEEDED TO GAIN CORRECT MEASUREMENT.I ALWAYS SCUFF THE FRICTION AND CLUTCH (ON A USED CLUTCH)SIDES OF THE CONTACT SURFACES THEN ADD A LITTLE LAPPING COMPOUND TO SEAT/ADD MORE GRIP WHEN ENGAGING. A NEW BEARING WILL ONLY HELP IF YOURS IS NOISEY/COMING APART OR ROUGH FEELING.IT WILL NOT GIVE YOU ANYMORE BOOST BUT WHEN SHIMMED CORRECTLY IT WILL REMOVE THE CHIRP/HESISTATION FROM THE CLUTCH SLIPPING.

Thank you for the clearance specs. I replaced the bearing on my car, and the chirp eventually returned. Now having problems with rough engagement, be interesting to see what my gap is.
