New E55 owner... wanted to say Hello
I have been looking for a nice E55 for the past 3-4 months and I finally found one local. I picked it up a couple days ago to replace my aging Audi S4.
It's a 2004 with 49k miles, heated/cooled ventilated dynamic seats, pano roof, keyless go, well it has most of the options I think and a 100k warranty
So far I love it. Makes me want to get up and drive to work every day. This site has been a very valuable tool for researching these cars and educating myself on the E55. Thanks to you all for your creating this great community. And now its time to start modding If the wife does not kill me first
Oh... by the way I am located in Columbus Ohio. Do any of you local guys ever get together? If so I would love to meet up some time.

Well based on what I have read on this forum I think some type of HE upgrade, header, and exhaust (mufflers) will be what I start with for upgrades. I picked up the bluetooth puck at German Mercedes on Friday for $210. My HTC Hero works great with it and my contact list uploaded too.
As for the grill... please give me a little slack... I bought it that way

Thanks for that tip. I have noticed a squeaking sound, that must be it.
I have been thinking about some black wheels and a carbon front spoiler. I think that would give it a more aggressive look for sure. I need to start looking through the forums to see what wheel looks the best. Anyone got any personal favorites?

It's a matter of taste but I think it looks better than the chrome.

Welcome Steve! It looks clean and I'm not going to say anything about the star grille or chrome plated lower grilles I love my pano roof but it does creak a bit so be ready for that.
Oh forgot the chrome around the head lights. I know it's a mater of personal taste but it just looks out of place on our cars.

Yeah, it looks like the previous owner added a couple things to this car like the grill and chrome trim. Wish they would have added a HE upgrade and headers instead
Oh well it all can be fixed with time and money... eventually

I'm in Columbus, Looking to get into one eventually... I'm pretty much dead set on getting into an e55, as I hate my BMW at the moment.
Congrats on finding the one!

Yep...
The previous owner went to town with the chrome on this car I got to see how easy this stuff comes off. I think the silver/black combo looks a lot better then the silver/chrome does. I am thinking black badges, wheels, window tint, and front/rear CF spoiler/diffuser would look good.
