![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I would like to use a larger throttle body on my e55 amg, does the torque move up to high rpm? Or to low rpm?
Klemman says that it increases immediately on the whole rpm. What is your comments?

This is fine with me, as I said before I like that the car does not lose torque at low rpm.
Ok, thanks

The 82mm tb will actually regain the low end torque that you lost with the headers. It actually moves the whole power band upward.
Also, if you add an H-pipe or X-pipe in your exhaust system that will help you get back the low end torque too. Good luck with your power quest.

I actually did a dyno with before and after and the headers actually lost power all the way up to 5k and then made like 5whp more than without them.
I think I lost maybe 1.1-5 psi from them but gained the power back with tuning and bigger pulley.
I never really understood how some people say that headers picked up 40whp

I noticed a loss in low end with my kleemans with cat delete.

throttle body and K&N filter and a tune should fix it

Those people are called sponsors and they are in the business of selling car modifications. Do you understand now?

I lost boost so the gains came back with tuning.I made 460 whp then 465 with headers only and no retune
Then on another file did 470 and now my car has a new file but I havnt gone to the dyno yet.
Ill be happy with 480 on my dyno, its the same type of dyno loco has used and he made 490whp and runs 10s in the 1/4.
Im sure those dynos are on stock tuning that are picking up crazzy power but my car with its tune lost power all threw the power band after going headers and no cats.its normal for it to lose low end because the ve of the engine is flowing so much more and you lose a few pounds of boost.
The gains come from tuning more agressive with the headers and bigger pulley to get that boost back

GOD reading your posts makes my head spin. Just because you lose boost does not mean you lose power better flow means more air is moving less resistance thus less boost. Removing hot side resistance does not make a supercharged car LOSE power.

Ill upload a few to see.I went to the dyno expecting to see 40whp and saw a loss of power everywhere and the a/f got leaner
Guys take this for what you want,This was my car and my money spent.here is a before and after dyno and the only thing I changed was headers and no cats. The dyno was done a few days apart and had the same gas in the car.the mods in this dyno were.
Stock pulley
Tune
H/E
Renntech airbox
python tubes
Stock throttle body
the only thing that changed was the headers and cat delete. As you can see it lost power from 3k(even worse on the street from 2k)and lost it all threw the power band and made a few up top end.

What happened to my 40whp ![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
like I said man,im not selling anything and that was my before and after and the car felt lazzy from 1.8-3k
Maybe you should go dyno your car, then pay 2k and get headers on and then redyno and see what ya get![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Ohh and dont touch the tune![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I can also back up those dynos with 1/4 slips trapping the same mph

I know very little about MB ecu... but this happens on other cars I've tuned.

I have been reading infomation on the kennebell website and according to them a 74mm is good till about 600rwhp before it starts to become a restriction. What do you all think?

I say with a proper retune and bigger tb 10-15whp is doable.
Remember MB did put the 80mm on the sl55 so it must of made a difference

My car on my dyno picked up 70whp with
pulley
tune
headers/cats
renntech box/pythons
H/E
so you picked up 50whp with just headers?
do you have the before and after dyno and was it on the same tune or did they retune?
I picked up 30whp just from putting a tune on a stock car.
I never said headers dont make more power, you have to tune for them. With me I lost a little bit without a retune.
