If you compare Base Prices of 2003 & 2002 E55 the increase difference is only $4,650. Not bad!

2003 E55 $76,000
2002 E55 $71,350

However, the real price increase (adjusted) is actually $6,240. Still very low. This includes two items that are now optional:

Xenon $1,150
Rear Sunshade $440

Destination Charge increased only $60.

Yeah, thats right, that is steep. But that is a Federal Tax. I would not include that in the example normally just like I omit compulsuary State sales tax. MBUSA does not levy it.

Last year we would not have added the Luxury Tax to the example.

Don't forget the fact you can get a smoking deal on a 2002 and you're paying at least MSRP on a 2003!!!

I found the dynamic seats a bit out of line --- I thought they might be the difference between the dynamic seats and multicontour seats which are standard.

Not ready for prime time yet. Still late availabity. US Customer that paid for Comand in 2003 E-Class can get a new car replacement for free because the Comand is not upgradeable like they were told.
