I need some advice about purchasing an Extended CPO Warranty from my MB Dealership. I purchased my 2008 E63AMG with 25K miles on the clock with the CPO Warranty good out to 100K or September 2012. The dealership offered me an extended CPO warranty out to September 2013 for $2750. My vehicle has already had the brakes done and most of the bugs worked out from the service paperwork I read. At least I think:-) So, is this extra $2750 worth it?

My dealer said that I could always extend the warranty, but it would cost 15% more after the first 30-day ownership period. With the AMG should I really have this warranty extended to cover my butt?

for another year @$2750?? thats high. I would look around and check into some other aftermarket warranties like Fidelity or Easycare. I have the Easycare for 4 yrs/48k miles for $5k.

I would extend it for 2 years for the $3995 if you will be keeping the car that long. You could probably negotiate that number and save in the the neighborhood of 10-15%. The warranty is well worth it as it is backed by MB and it is extremely comprehensive. I would not think twice about it. BTW, your dealer is right about the 15% increase after 30 days.

I bought my CPO e63 in Nov. of 2010 with about 5 months of factory warranty remaining, as well as 1 year of CPO which had not yet started to run. I was offered 24 more mos of "Extended MB warranty" fir $2,500, which I gladly bought. Just food for thought.

WOW,,,I would love to talk to your Easycare Rep.,,,mine quoted me $6095.00 for 36 months/miles!!
