Supercharged bearing installed and wow!
I just got a new Nachi nearing installed and the chirp is now gone and engagement is so smooth. I highly recommend this to anyone with the chirp. DO NOT REPLACE THE WHOLE CLUTCH ASSEMBLY AS YOU CAN REPAIR IT.

Master tech told me that my bearing was just fried chicken. He also replaced the friction shim material to lessen the gap i think.

I know this may have been covered in one of the numerous other threads on the issue, but what's the latest source for the actual Nachi bearings and shims?
I have some here that should be suitable replacements but they're marked as "JB" on the box.

For what it's worth, the bearings I have here are in a box Marked JB Air Conditioner Bearings, part #DAC32550023.
I bought these quite a while back per suggestion online and haven't even got around to installing one yet.

I'm going to compare the Nachi bearing to the one I got from the Houston bearing supply place, the JB brand, and see how they measure up. I read that this other bearing works as well but I just want to be sure before I tear the clutch assembly off the car.

did you have the same bearing as in the ebay link? I see in the link that it is 2003, will it work for later S/C models or latest design if any released by MB ?
What is the shim material? does it have part number?

There are multiple vendors on ebay just search E55 bearing. As for the shim material I have no idea if there is a part number for it. I will try and find out.

Here is an interesting link regarding the same issue recently on the SL forum. https://mbworld.org/forums/sl55-amg-...-bearings.html
My experience with shims is they are a short term fix only. The additional shimming takes up the space lost from the worn away clutch material. Apparently some people have had success with it though. MB introduced a shim pack to deal with the chirp in the early days. They discontinued it. One can only guess it wasn't super effective.
I also think it was the shims that at least temporarily solved the chirp for the OP, not the new bearing.
