The day went great. Aside from blowing the JL Audio 12W6 I had (I mean ripping) POS month year old sub! and locating another box and a 2farad cap for my 2 12's Infinity (old) and putting that in for it to STILL shut off on me an hour after (drives me absolutely crazy
, changed grounds and everything)!!Many compliments already. And its only been one day
. The car is really missing the E63 front. 2 more days!Even a dude at the car wash who was screaming his lungs out at his wife on the phone complimented the car with a nice tone of voice

The grille is going to be black, dont worry. The current one has a tiny crack on the side so I will see how it works out because I want the black one PERFECT and matched to the oem 63 grilles. As you know, the foglight grilles on the E63 bumper are chrome too. Tbal's conversion kinda makes me think twice, it looks nasty too.
But yeah, the grille will end up black, lol.

What happened to your w6?I have 4 12w6s up for grabs and a 500/1 amp.
I just bought a 12w6v2 for my car too,how the hell did you blow that sub up?Im running an old school punch power 800a2 and the sub is taking 600watts rms with ease.
You prolly under powered the sub and smashed its voice coil up.

First of all, the issue with the bass shutting off is STILL not resolved. We messed around with the new system tonight and put in 2 12's infinity out of one of my old audis, redid the ground etc. I also picked up a 2 farad capacitor. It still shuts off, drives me effin crazyy man.
I'll text you a pic of the sub shortly. Its ripped on the inside and 3/4 on the outside. It did sound good, while it worked.

Whatever, I dont want to discuss the sub issue anymore. Probably gonna ditch the entire setup until I can do what AMGfan or jawhawkblk did with the subs through the rear part.
Whens the last time you saw a 300C?

Probably a power issue and the reason the sub ripped'when there isn't enough damping factor to pull the sub back it just slams the sub one way and can't pull it back.
Underpowering will do that or power cut.
I have trophies from wining a few spl comps back in the day.I hit 154db in a 7 series lol
Was your box ported? I'm thinking of running 2 12s now and need a box.
I bought a mint 12w6v2 on craigslist yesterday with box for 250.I can also repair the sub if the foam ripped,the have repair kits on eBay and I did my old subs with them
