weird drag question
Seeing as a 1/4 heat soaks the engine, would it affect the aerodynamics to do the runs w/o a hood? and would it help at all with the wind on the s/c? usually aerodynamics are important around what, like 100+? and only doing 115-125 mph tops a run wheres the real loss?

i think this will be a positive -- you will gain in cooling -- and you can set up a simple RAM air setup by removing the snorkels ---

You could lose a tad in aero and looks-- but you will also gain in weigh reduction --

So - that is 2 big pluses in the performance area -- maybe the slightest negative for wind drag -- and a minus for not looking so good --

Also - a big plus in sound because that Supercharger will whine like crazy.

I just went threw the pdf manual also and no where does it say 12.5 needing a roll cage.I heard this rumor a few times and was worried that most cars would get kicked out.ill be there april second

wouldnt the steel tubing that comes with the E55 count as a roll cage?? maybe just ad a 5 point harness and youd think thatd be enough in the all mighty life saving 55

not really nhra has been like this for years,there was a stupid rumor saying anycar under 12.5 needed a roll bar.

They usually let you slide with a few 11-11.3 passes without a bar and if its a busy night they wont even notice.

I've seen a 55 with a removable roll cage in it, but seriously if you can get your fastest passes at a track rental why go and slaughter our cars even more just to be allowed to run below 11.49 as much as i like drag racing, no more test and tunes for me..And i was planning to make a NED appearance this summer but with those new rules no way

Damn, would have been sick to see a 55 make a ten second pass.. Maybe skratch will get into the tens this year though, before he gets kicked out haha
