Guys, I need your help. I have a 2006 E55 AMG and I just put on an aftermarket grill. I replaced the grill very easily, but now I can't open the hood.

When I pop the lever underneath the dash, the hood opens slighthly, but when I go to the front of the hood, I can't find the tab that I pull to open the hood the rest of the way.

Any suggestions?

 

Sounds like you pinched the wire that is used to release the hood.

 

Sounds like you didn't position the tab through the grill that you put on.

 

+1Let me know if you need a picture of the underside of the latch area so that you can possibly find a way to hook the safety latch mechanism pull it forward and pop the hood.

 

Here you go bro. Had the same problem once when I failed to put the cable back in correctly after replacing the hood latch sensor... This is a fun one
