Coolant/Ambient air/Intake temps.....

All I have is a CM-30 with stock heat exchanger, no pulley etc.
Both in Ohio and Key West a week ago idle and cruise IAT temps are about 15-20* F above ambient.
The highest I've seen was in Key West, 30-110MPH stab brought IAT's up to about 115-120F with ~82-85*F ambient; dropped quickly after I leveled off to about 15 above ambient cruising at 55mph.n I have CM-30 wired to key 1 position.

Seems like my IAT temps are a bit high compared to ambient. +37 deg.
Hmmmm. Stock pump (i believe). The temps seem to come down rather quickly, so I just figure things are working. If the pump was bad, I assume the temps would take a while to drop. Correct?

That would be my guess. I know my stock pump was going bad, after a couple 30-80mph shots the S/C would shut down.
You may have higher than average, (from what has been posted in this thread), IAT's due to the stock pump flowing less coolant than the CM-30; assuming you have the older Bosch pump.
