Coolant/Ambient air/Intake temps.....

So I jumped on the bandwagon and got the Bluetooth ELM and Downloaded the Torque App. I would just like to say I LOVE it. Here's what I'm seeing and hope some of you guys can give me some input. Hows my Johnson CM30 doing??

Ambient ar temps 40deg. F

I went on a few 20 min trips average spped of around 45-55mph, I was seeing IAT's at 55-62deg F Coolant tems did not budge over 185Deg F (with 40 deg F ambient air temps.)

I did 3 pulls and saw intake temps jump to 85-92 deg F, and when the pull was over they would drop back dowm pretty rapidly to 65 Deg F. The car was feeling Very strong... What do you guys think????

And a quick little dig.....

I had very similar #'s.... Once I changed the IC pump.

Congrats on the Torque/ELM move.

The more you play with that app the more impressed you will be.

Did you do anything else (heat exchanger) or just replace your stock pump? Any other mods?

Is your car lowered? Maybe it because the tires have worn tapered and now they lay flat on the road regardless of the negative camber. I'm lowered on washers and my car has decent negative camber.

I think its because they had alot of meat on the tires. The 20's however wear so fast...

Camber is terrbile on my car, and MB said it was pretty much bottomed out as far as being as positive as possible.

Does anyone make aftermarket camber arms for this car?

there's really not much to say. iat's staying within 20* of ambient while cruising and within 50* during wot spikes are as efficient as our i/c cooling systems will get without major intervention. 185* coolant temps are spot on.

Your temps are fine for 40d outside temp.

I cant wait for 80d summer days seeing 104 intake temps sitting idle in the staging lanes

You will see way over 140-160 with that 180 in the summer bro, there is no way around it other than meth injection or killer chiller

they're fully adjustable and should get you where you need to be. just check your clearances afterwards as they've gone through several remodels to get things sorted out. they seem to have got it right with their latest version.

I can't remember the exact outsite temp, but it was around 58 Deg. F.
Cruising @ 75 mph, RPM @ 2280
IAT: 95
Coolant: 188

At one point I went WOT for a few seconds, IAT's jumped to 116, then came back to normal in about 15 seconds.
