STARS diagnostic check for any error or maybe a obdII port scan for CEL check engine light for any codes. This is the only way to tell what could be wrong. I don't know about any secondary air pumps but i am new to this car. Good luck
also what symptoms are you having. Does car run? Give more details.

The pump is on the front left under the headlight. take the forward service apron off... You will be able to pull off the pump's power connector and there will be two round connector contacts on the pump. Get a battery and jumper these two little posts and the thing should make a whirring noise very similar to a hair dryer-quite loud.
This will tell you whether pump is bad or possibly something in the circuit upstream is bad(fuse and relay are common probs). I have also read that the one way check valve going into exhaust to feed the cats can get junked up and cause it to throw codes as well. Code is a P0410.

MBWorld Fanatic!
Post the Code
without it nobody is going to be able to give you a better idea of what is wrong.
Or what action to take.
Fuse could be blown, check valve could be plugged, pump could be bad.

Shop could be guessing
when ever they say something might need to be replaced means they haven't a clue if that will fix the problem and they are using your wallet to toss parts at the unknown solution.
"GOT CODES?"

Thanks for for the quick reply's we checked the valve and we jumped the pump they both work so it has to be the fuse or the relay I hope! I wil post the conclusion of this problem
