removing primary cats...
Does anyone know anything that I can do to keep the CEL from coming on? In previous vehicles I've used anything from O2 simulators to extended bungs ( Spark Plug arrestors or 1.5" long bungs ) to keep the light from coming on.

Does anyone have a solution to this?

I had my ECU programmed to bypass the CEL. It was part of the stage II tune.

Hmm...maybe mine will have the same thing. I got the eurocharged package that's on sale right now. I'll have to ask Jerry.

If that ends up being the case [that Jerry can retune you to kill O2 sensor lights forever], please let me know. My only concern would be next October/November when I've got to pass emissions.

I've been having recurring nightmares since Shardul showed me the primary cat inlet diameter...

Is that all the rearmost O2 sensors monitor is whether or not you are running functioning cat's? Can we remove all 4 cat's and simply turn off the CEL and not have any additional issues?

Jerry can turn off no problem. When I did my headers I just sent my ecu to him and he tuned and turned them off for me

Nope just gets the check engine light off and keeps it from throwing codes

is there any difference with what Jerry can do, or what Kleeman does when you install their headers?
If Jerry can tune them out remotely instead of sending my entire ECU to Kleeman, wouldnt that be the better route?

Jerry can do it remote - it's how he did mine. You need a USB to ODBII cable though. You can get it from him if you want.

Only fairly minimally. Jerry has told me about 5hp. They do heavily restrict SOUND thought.
