Idler pulley bearing video, your opinions please
A while back I did the crank pulley, I noticed the idler bearings had movement in them, so I replaced the bearings.
4 months and 3000 miles later I fitted my scatter shield and the bearing is crap again.
See video below.
Am I being fussy, or is this normal ?
I have tried to put this video in the post.

I think at the time I replaced the bearings and fitted a wave washer, i noticed the depths were excessive. and the diameters were on the loose side.
I used a special loctite that was supposed to secure them better, and kept using the same style of bearing.
Was a little better but not much.
Then 6 months later it all went to crap.
The bores flogged out massively.
So i pulled them off, welded up the bores and returned them so they have the correct preload.
Now the bearings have a slight preload ( press fit to manufacturers specs ) and the depth is more accurate, so the clip fits nice. I also used a different bearing that is not so loose.
That was a few months ago now, so far , so good !
