BAM! thats actually a great idea! put it in dyno mode, yea theyll be disabled but it wont throw the code. just BE CAREFUL! (which im sure you already know) just until you match the fronts

When I put the car in dyno mode it throws a cel for incorrect gear ratio, then keeps the car in 2ns and wont shift.....

It just seems like the car dosent want these d/rs :(

wow, whata pain in the ass... have you found tires to match the rears for the front yet?

I have done the math and figured that 235-45-18s will be very close as far as size. I just dont know if they are going to fit on my slammed Benzz... This has just been a pain in the ass. I thought putting the car in dyno mode disables esp and abs, if thats the case why is it still freaking out?

03'55AMG 03-23-2011 11:41 PM

most likely because it cant 'blame' the ABS or ESP, so it assumes a trans issue. but man, 45s are going to look fat on there..... lol i think my 40s are too big, until i hit a pothole that is...

Why such a wide tire if you're going to use it for drag racing? Or do you use it for other types of racing?

I'am honestly not to worried about it. I highly doubt you will see noticable differences from a 235 to a 255 in the front. A buddy of mine cut stock wheeels in half and had 4.5 skinnies on the front and the difference was sooo minimal it was not worth the 1000 the shop charged him to shorten the wheels.
