Picked a CTS-V
Thought I would never do it but I ended up buying a american car. I went from a 08 e63 to a pretty much fully loaded CTS-V sedan
If you have not driven or been in one I encourage to check it out. The car is something else.
Handles much better than the e63, more power and the interior is pretty nice.
downfalls, the fit and finish is not european but far superior that any other american car I been in If a european car was a 10 then I would rate the caddy at a 8. I also get free maintenance
All my friends and family are shocked that i bought a caddy. Pretty shocked at myself also but I could not be happier

He said he would call me back the next day to LOL
Funny when I talked to them originaly it was listed to have 12000 miles on it and now I see whay they never called me back because it really had 32000 miles on it.
Or they have drivin it alot in 4 weeks
Can you say OOPS

i took one out for a test drive just last week and it is a looker and a performer for sure! unfortunately the interior's fake carbon fibre (the salesman tried to convince me it was real!), traditional gm quality leather, and plastic feel quickly negated how impressed i was with everything else. for those that can get over the interior, it's a great car!

Only mod so far is an Airaid intake, I'm going to put a 9.0 lower pulley and tune this summer. I want to put few thousand miles on it before I start on the mods. I don't think H&R makes springs...Eibach and D3 makes them. My main complaint about the Cadillac is the forums suck!!!!!!!!

I too am SERIOUSLY considering one also, I'm thinkin before the end of the year. Everyone is so quick to point out lack of interior finish, but, I'm very disappointed how my 55's interior has basically fallin apart over the last couple years! My wifes Caddy (ESV) 2007 is still great.
The CTSV has so much potential its truly a monster musclecar!

Congrats!! Hope the deal will allow you to ditch when the TT V8 AMGs start coming down in price. I really think they are gonna be the sheet when modded!!
Enjoy and be safe!

I just can't get past the exterior. Just not my style... And as you, and others, have pointed out, the interior just isn't "up to par." I guess if I was 18-20-something, or even low 30s, I would be okay with it; however, at this point in my life, I do appreciate a nice interior. That is one of the main reasons I haven't purchased a W212 yet. I guess compared to a W212, then the CTS-V's interior is a close match, but there is no comparision, IMO, to an 06 W211... I guess the new 2012 model is a little nicer compared to the 2010s and 2011s though...
However, for the money, it's a great performing car. No denying that... I just never see myself buying an American car, let alone a Cadillac, ever again...

I agree! If everyone liked the same thing, there wouldn't be many choices and it would be pretty boring...
In the end, you must choose whatever makes you happy, regardless of what others think.
Personally, I would rather drive something like a Lamborghini Gallardo and get "blown away" by some supped up Toyota Supra/Nissan GTR any day of the week. At the end of the day, I still have a Gallardo... But that's just me... Plenty of other people would rather have the Supra/GTR....

Congrats, if I ever leave MB the CTS-V is top of my list. Mods are pretty cheap (comaratively) and they can easily hit 600HP.
Quick question, they're stick only or do they make an automatic / E-gear?
Thanks.
Alex
