I think 440 pounds isn't that unrealistic of a goal. It can be done, problem is this car isn't the right platform to even start weight savings. If you can shave 660 pounds of this car, it would be insane but I'm not sure that can be done.
But just for information's sake how much saving would the following add up to if they were the lightest you could find ie lightest ones:
ti exhaust, full dry carbon exterior, battery (lighter), acpt carbon driveshaft, wheels, coilovers, carbon ceramic brakes, bucket seats, spares and tool removal
How much saving would they add up to considering if they were the lightest of that part you can find?

My 4040 was without me in it.
I got it down to 3940 this year without me with 1/4 tank.
I feel like 3800 would be the lowest these can go. Race seats and lighter wheels could get me thurr

I'll get you my numbers later when I get home tonight. They weighed the car for me when I corner balanced the car a while back.
***Weight added***
4246 and that is with me (170lbs.) a bucket seat for the driver seat, full interior, and 3/4 quarter tank of gas.

E55 w/ goods, Z32 Project underway
Cool, think I will run up to the scrap yard not too far from me. Weights and Measures inspect them annually so I would imagine it is pretty accurate.......

The pano roof is my biggest complaint with this car. Wish I could go back and get a non-pano E55, the damn thing creaks constantly and I had no idea it weighed 150 lbs...grrr.
