e55 top speed 140mph?

Hi! i had the exakt same problem when i bought mine, it hit a limiter at about 230 km/h so i went to the shop and made a star diagnose and they told me somthing had been forgotten at the last service so assyst felt it and automaticly put in a speedlimiter at 230 km/h.

Strange that South African imported Mercedes Benz and AMG models, and locally produced MB's, have the Winter Tyres settings on them. We have a light touch of Winter, if any, when compared to parts of Europe and USA.
I also noticed that there is no information in the Owners Manual, about the "Winter Tyres" computer setting. My bad, as I said earlier to read/look it up in the Owners Manual.
But we sure have this feature here.
When I eventually load some images, I will begin a Post on the "Winter Tyres" settings we have in South Africa. Will post the images from my computer settings.

Hey I got the same problem when I picked up my e55 it would go about 145 now it only goes about 142 then the limiter kicks in. I don't know what the issue is but i'm getting a pulley and a tune today so i will let you know. they are suppose to remove the limiter completely

yea I cant wait to get it done I will post the results for you.
Also if you are interested powerchip is running a special it's 500 for a tune i'm getting my tune at a different place they agreed to match the 500 price. I also got lucky and picked up a 172mm kleeman pulley from a friend for 300 thats the only reason i'm doing it it will come out to being 1000 with labor not too bad for 55whp and 75wtq
