how do you remove the interior mirror?

Not to hijack your thread (sorry OP), but why is it that Euro spec'd vehicles get electronically adjustable rear view mirrors (interior) and US spec'd vehicles don't?

I stumbled across a whole series of great Mercedes-specific videos that showed the correct ways to remove the dome light trim, then the mirror. The guy showed all the correct places to put the pry tools and explained everything really well. I "subscribed" to his videos so I'd be able to find them again when I needed this info.
BTW -> I'd be interested to see photos of your V1 mount. I was considering tapping into the power source for the lighted mirrors (the power is in the visor clip which would make it easy). I'm considering using the v1 remote display too, but don't know quite where it will fit and look good.
