There are some CLSs already out, albeit in a very limited supply. There is already one in the Raleigh area...

Ya I sat in the new XJ and I just love how the interior is crafted. The wood surrounds around the whole dash making you feel like your are in a spaceship. The wait for the CLS is too long but I would definately take that. I guess the new XJ it is. Plus it has sheduled maintenance.

I want the CLS so bad but I'm sure we would have to pay extra just to get one in our hands. Jag starts at 72 which isn't bad. Mom's not looking to pay more than 1000 per month.

I've never loved the "Audi look", so I'd go CLS 100%. That said, I think the A7 is a much cleaner, and more cohesive design, and might age better. It's the HIDEOUS and stupidly trendy "hunchback" rear look that completely kills it. I hate Wagons, and Hatchbacks, and a car that slightly resembles both, just is a buzz kill.
The CLS is half gorgeous, half unresolved to me. Well, it's mostly gorgeous, but things like the up-to-down side character line and door handles, just makes it so I can't see the design as un-flawed, since it starts at some random point in the rear fender hump, and sticks out like an awkward sore thumb, and counters every other flow aspect of the car (i.e, a wedge shaped car, with an odd reverse-wedge character line).
Anyway, CLS for me.

Is the Jag made by Ford still or isn't it TATA motors that makes them now? The speddometer is shared from the Range Rover parts bin I know that and they are made from Tata.

The Jags certainly nice, but it doesn't do anything for me in person. The interior is fancy and blingy as hell, but doesn't carry the charm of a good Teutonic interior IMO, also, I feel that it would be a more tiresome place to look at for long periods of time. Exterior wise, I feel it can look incredible when decked out right, but the overall look isn't a very timeless or tried and true design, i.e the S-Class or 7-Series.

I wouldnt drive a Jag even if it was given to me. Never liked jags and i have no respect for that brand. I say cls or a7 but its up to her isnt it or are you making the decision towards what to purchase next...??

I influence what she gets significantly so I want her to get the best out there. Nothing less. The only thing about Jags is that a lot of old people drive them. Other than that I don't see anything wrong with their new look and the direction they are going in with this new XJ.

I grew up with my dad owning a benz and my mother driving a jag. Ive always just seen the jag as more fit for women. That being said, that was years ago. I think Jaguar is nice but I think theyve lost their pizzaz over the years with ford taking over. I just dont feel they hold the same weight they once did as a luxury brand as they did in the past. The CLS is a beauty to behold however its newly designed musculature, imo, is more fit to men. For a mother and a person whose looking to not have to put in the extra dollars per month, i'd go jag. But the CLS is a no doubt a beautiful car and could just as much be a fit to your mother.
