Help please...Someone thought I didn't need my mirrors
I could rant for an hour about this situation but I'm trying to look forward and find the best solution. Long story short someone ripped my mirrors off so now I need new ones. (I mean at least steal them intact and sell them instead of just vandalizing my car! I digress.) Do any of you who have switched to folding mirrors have your old ones? I'm open to suggestions of where to get new ones. I've checked some salvage yards and looked on the interweb a bit and it looks like I should be able to get a pair under a grand and that's my breaking number as to whether I file with insurance.
PS. Yes those are awful waterspots with a combo of the great pollen count that has been in Houston lately. Normally the car sits in my garage which is where it would have been had a friend not broken my garage door bc apparently they're hard to operate.
TIA,
Sterling

F'in class warfare. You damned rich people that work hard, put in the long hours, do the networking, take the risky chances, succeed, and then reward yourselves with a nice toy! HOW COULD YOU!
Some call it Karma, some "You reap what you sow". They have it coming for sure. They'll get theirs...someday!
HEY IT COULD BE WORSE, look at my new sig.

Just wanted to thank Mike (mekantor) and Tal (tgoss). Thanks to them the E should be up and running soon. Without their support I wouldn't have the E back on the streets so quickly.

1. My friend had her Lincoln Continental taillight lenses stolen while she was in a bank for 15 minutes.(Its actually not a bad car.) Seems they don't stock the lens....
Had to buy the ENTIRE assemblies @ $5XX plus several hours of installation.
2. I had a moron with extended truck mirrors whack off one mirror on my G. Now what I do is fold in my mirrors on the G - the CL does it automatically but it seems based on our friend above it doesn't matter.
3. As the country devolves into a 3rd world economy more of this will occur, no?
How is hope and change workin' for y'all?

oh my.... i would do some serious damage if i ever caught someone vandalizing my car.. this is a terrible thing to see/hear about. im very sorry for your loss... always think though... theres always someone that has it worse.. sorry to hear about it. you should try to get the newer mirrors that fold in since you have to get new ones anyways.
