Phone compatibility
Does anyone know how to get the phone feature to work with today's phones?
My car currently has "no phone equipped" equipment, lol
I have a Blackberry 8530 and would be interested in finding a way (via bluetooth or whatever) to be able to answer it, talk, etc using the onboard electronics.
Any thoughts?

You need a Bluetooth puck in the center armrest...
If you already have the dock there you're golden, just buy the puck from eBay and get started. My understanding is that the older E55s aren't prewired very often so adding Bluetooth phone capability is a bit more work and cost.
There are 3rd party sources to add Bluetooth... A quick search should get you the info you need.
I was disappointed that my 2006 doesn't have the prewired connector in the armrest. It looks like I'll have to spend extra money to get an aftermarket adapter and wiring.

With a 2004 all you need is part number B 67 87 5855. It's called the puck with tail. There are a couple on eBay for about $250. Once installed the car will need to be updated by someoen with STAR to set phone as present.
