Dynavin HeadUnit
I know Abrim posted about owning a Dyanvin head unit.
Does anyone else own one?
They are huge in the BMW world.
They look OEM, like this:

And they have built in phone, ipod, navigation etc.
Anyone got one?
do they come with the GPS antenna or do you need to buy one?

I couldn't find the price on the website, any idea what this costs? I have an 03 E500 with no NAV and more importantly no AUX input to play songs off my phone

I believe there is another thread that discusses the fact that the unit currently is NOT MOST ready and that version of the head unit will be out sometime this month. I bet once that's out that more will show up in our cars

The other guy, Abrim has the non MOST unit going in his car, is that because he is ripping out the entire system?
Will it need a different system if you have the Harmon Kardon installed?

The Dynavin MOST unit (fiber optic cable) is plug and play and should be out around April 15th. You can order directly from Dynavin Germany at 670 EUR which is equivalent to $950. In order to get invoice and wire instructions contact Jurgen below. I've been corresponding with him directly and that's all I know so far. If you find any additional relevant info to post let us know.

Waiting for an official USA dealer to import would almost certainly end up cheaper.

WTH!! I just installed a Pioneer touch screen head unit because the stock head until stinks. Now I see this?!!!! Even thought the Pioneer unit is the best they make and I'm happy with it. I wonder if I would be more happy with this system?
I like to think I know when I make a mistake and I just might have made one by getting the pioneer

WinCE is incredibly hackable, take a look at the BavarianMotorwerks forum where all they E46 guys have been playing with theirs. Skins, iphone tethering, media players etc.

Within Germany bank transfer is the normal way to pay.
Personally though I wouldn't, the protection offered by using a VISA and therefore being covered for fraud/misuse is too good to not use that whenever possible.
