BMW has released a lengthy description of its 5 series cars [the ugly ones]. See:

It might be interesting to have people more knowledgeable than me comment on the features. I found the hardened glass --- as a theft prevention measure and the infrared shield attractive. Perhaps MB has them too --- sometimes companies tout things as innovative when others have had the feature for a long time.
