In a way it's kinda disappointing that the M157 won't be an AMG designed motor but the same base motor as the M278 in the regular Daimler fleet. It will have engine start/stop (and there will be a simple way to get around that no doubt), but at least it won't have anymore gas guzzler tax in the US. And if you don't care about the precise throttle control from NA motors, it'll definitely be a tuner's dream just like its grandfather, the E55. But that's primarily why Daimler announced the 6.2 will stay in the C63. And yeah, it's not such a big deal in a pig car like the E platform, but makes more sense in the smaller more nimble C.

it will be in the W212 E class when the change its face lift. so i think in 2014 or something like that. or late 2013.

I have had 4 AMG's and 4 M's which marque gets to be number 5? I will be getting either the F10 M5 or this car...... decisions decisions.
Which one is faster? Id have to guess the times will be very close? Whats the better handler? I think AMG with the W212 has narrowed the gap for sure. Whats the better looker, inside and out? Which one will be tunable first?

C63 Black Series will have the new beefed up M157 engine in it with the performance package (563hp) and maybe even more? If this happens... game over!!

I'm gettin giddy like a lil school girl!
I'll be keepin my cars for a few more years now that it feels like a brand new car. Or drives completely different then the regular 55k I'm used to. I'm sure after a few more years with my 55k, it'll be time to upgrade to this new AMG and start all over with the performance mod!
I think I would personally opt for the coupe version this time around. (Granted they make it.)

LOL just another way to add an option and make more money... not much different than the 030 options but at least we get the boost in hp and tq that didnt come with the 030 options in the current 63 line.

the new 63TT is already been tuned. so for now it is the first for current runing 63s TT. as for the M5TT. i don't think it will take a lot of time to crack it. give it a month or so. and M5 engine is already been modded on the X6M/X5M and reached 700hp on the crank with headers, 3" catless down pipes and a tune + drop in K&N.
