I had an industry pass on Thurs. so I actually got to "play" with the cars and check them out inside.

Lots of carbon fiber on the AMG products now. Lots of matte paint. E63 looks great... CL63 is a dream.

Most interesting and most likely to make it to market vehicle I saw was the Range Rover Evoque. Looks GREAT in person. Has just about the right size to it. Great little pocket SUV that my buddy who's 6'6" 300 lbs had no issue fitting in.

e63 coupe looks interesting. what's the latest word on that?

 

No e63 coupe present. :-( The C63 coupe was obviously on display...but that, the SLS, and the A concept were the only ones I wasn't allowed in.

They also didn't have any SL AMG's which was surprising.

 

I DID really like the updated interior of the CLS63 with the nice IWC clock front and center.

 

Really, what is the difference bewteen a C-coupe and a CLK?

 

No more CLK ... C coupe is the replacement. Second picture in the thread.

 

That CLS is very nice. I like the CL as well. Do you know it the E63 will come in a 2 door?

 

No one at the show had any info on an E coupe AMG...but the rumors are out there. The CLS was definitely hot. There's CF trim on both the CLS and the E's now (lip & spoiler).

 

I'm also digging the a class concept they should release it just as it sits but send itbto amg to work a 5.5TT in it

I'll be there Friday though, this was a nice preview. The A-Concept actually looks nice in photo. Its certainly going to get de-styled a bit, but that is to be expected.

pullejo, the A-Class concept at NYIAS doesn't have a interior, they've raised it so you couldn't see that its purely a mock up.

Wish I could've gone on one of those private days, it was packed on public hours and I really couldn't get very good shots..

 

350 horses and some turbs with the future AMG version. That little thing is gonna fly...imagine modded.

May have to snag one just for fun once they plummet in price.

Nope, that is wrong, I was told that the E Coupe replaced the CLK in Mercedes lineup. The New C Coupe was mercedes answer to BMW and Audi, as they both have coupes for their entry level vehicles.
