275 or 285 with 19x9.5 et40
I am trying to decide between these two sizes of Conti Extreme contact DW (not dws)
245/35-19 and 275/30-19
or
255/35-19 and 285/30-19
the rim specs are
19x8.5 ET35
19x9.5 ET40
I will be using these rims.

My car is not lowered but I may consider a slight drop in the future but nothing slammed. I would prefer to have a little more sidewall for ride and rim protection but I am not willing to deal with any rubbing.
thanks for any input

If the rear offset is any less than ET38 it will rub with 285/30/19 on a 9.5 and 10"wheel with a lowered suspension
If this quote is true I should be fine ??

my 19x10 forgestar f14's with et35 works with 285/30/19 on my lowered e55. i also ran the same tire on a 19x10 et40 rim with zero problems.

Id go with the 275.. Your not going to gain much sidewall going from a 275 to 285 anyway, so you mine as well stay safe with the 275 then you definitely wont rub..

I am leaning toward the 275 like you mentioned. I thought the sidewall was pulled in more on the 245/275 but it really looks about right now that I have taken a closer look at the car with the factory wheels.
thanks for your replies.
