SL55 AMG
not an MB, but a new toy...

I still have my SL55 and really enjoy that car especially with the nice weather, top down cruisin' never felt so fast and fun...

I just recently sold my X50 turbo Porsche and picked up a clean Euro Spec GT2....

enough lol no seriously they ussually range from $75K and up for a used Gt2 depending on condition, mileage, and the other factors. Keep in mind I sold my Turbo so I was able to funnel those funds into the GT2 purchase. Mine is a very rare Euro spec version which was imported to the US as a 3Z code car...Porsche made fewer GT2 cars than Carrara GT's so these cars will appreciate over time, I think something like 300 or so GT2s were built over the entire 3 year run. The car is a flat out rocket and very raw adn connected the driver, my modded SL55 is a comfy ubersled in comparison great for long trips at high speeds BUT the GT2 is like a surgeon's scalpel with tons of power and torque outta the twin turbo engine...two very very different driving experiences.

Sweet car. I have been yearning for such a car lately. I'm thinking sell the SL, buy a 911 variant and convince the wife she really needs an E63 for her DD.

they are beasts...both cars boost slightly different - my X50 was wicked quick when the boost came in (early with a tune on K24s) pinned you back in your seat...the GT2 is a bit more linear with just gobs of power and torque as soon as you're on throttle even slightly progressing sharply to redline and the gears go by very very quick as the turbos push you in the back very hard!

I love my X50, but for sheer rush off the line, nothing beats a hot station wagon.

Gorgeous car, Sunir.

I see you had Chris come shoot it too. We've been trying to hook up for a shoot of the SL for over a year now.

But the real question is: How well will it hook up at MIR.

Believe me, I'd love a GT2, but the truth is that I don't have enough driving experience to handle that. Either I would kill the car, or the car would kill me. Lol.

I hope to one day either get a 996 TT or GT3. I love the curves of the 996 widebody... There's nothing like it. Sitting behind one in traffic almost makes the traffic worth it. No matter what it is, cars, women, anything- men like it curvy.

OP- Any mods planned?

Maybe that's why I'm a Lambo fan... Sleek and smooth... Just like my women... Anything over 34A up top and 36 on the bottom is too big IMHO!!!!

Congrats on the purchase and love the GT2. I remembering seeing the ad on Select Auto for the GT2 that they had for a long long time.

A Gallardo might be sleek and smooth, but I think they're wider than Porsches are...
