E55 w/ goods, Z32 Project underway
Guy has 22 posts, how about posting up a pic of you CLS first before getting everyone going again picking on the little poor M5. Good timing though as a Beemer was playing through traffic on the 210 today well behind me, then when he got on the side of me, I showed interest-he did NOTHING. Guess he visits the M5 boards often.

I wonder if the M5/6 board sees these many threads about E55's vs M5/6, we just get flooded with the trolls

Guys...guys, the point of my post was not to troll the board. I know that e/cls 55 must be faster. But this I got beaten by m5 I was wondering if everything is ok with my car and what kind of thing I should check to be sure. I will most probably dyne it as well.

- from a dig (full stop) if you get good traction you win
- from mid/ high speed rolls they will start to pull on you

Conditions
Hey there fellas!
I was riding on the highway the other day and found a rival on the M5. Well, all i can say is that it was much faster than my 2005 CLS55. It would win a whole body (spelling?) before i can hit 100 Km/h and a few more till i hit 200Km/h. So... My question is - is the M5 really that fast of a car, or is my car became sluggish after 110000 Km of mileage? I've recently changed the H/E and installed Johnson pump instead of the stock one.
What would guys advise to check?

Did you split your s/c cooling from the engine cooling?
Nice color for those wheels btw

How much faster is the M5 than an E55.... it all depends on how wild the M5 sychophant's dreams are that evening....
Sorry...I had to get in on the fun while the thread was open...

@Greg - I am 195 cm long - I am close enough to the pedals in whichever seat position :-)
The conditions were "normal". Tires are new, fronts are PS2s and rears are hankooks ventus. Temperature was something like 15C and yes sc cooling is split.
The car came with chrome wheels which I dislike so I decided to repaint them. The closest color to the original was the one you can see on the picture.

Might want to bleed the system then and be patient. Last time I bled mine, there was no bubbling in the tube for a good 20 minutes then from nowhere a bunch of bubbles. This is easier to do too if you have your pump wired to the accessory position.

It would be hard for a M5 to keep up with the E55 or E63 on paper. Compared to the E55, the M5 has a smaller engine and no forced induction. Compared to a E63, its has a substantially smaller engine. It would be pretty amazing if the M5 could keep up at all like some people claim.

Well, the cooling system is freshly bled. I was having problems with the S/C shutting off and it then turned out that guys at the workshop didn't refill the system properly. They bled it and it should be fine now.
I was just looking for common reasons of the powerloss on 55 engine besides problems with cooling and IATs.
