There are 2 oil pans for the CL55 model. Our oil pump is a tiny one too and doesn't cover the connecting rod bolts. I still had to remove it anyway and check it's functionality. I could access cyl 1, 5 and 6 though the lower oil pan but the upper pan had to come out too for the rest of the cylinders. I had the engine supported from top and disconnected it from the mounts and lifted just enough to give me enough clearance to get the oil pan out. Steering rack had to be moved aside too. This is one of the most simple straight forward V8 I've worked on. SOHC.. I mean common! I wouldn't touch a 63, new tt63 or even my dads 65 haha.

One thing I want to make clear is that Jake and Jerry from EC are very honest and great people to have around this forum and to our 55k cars. They have pulled though for me and many others at desperate downfall times.

Just for an update if anyone is curious I have put 8000KMS on it so far and it's running great. That's a combination of with tracking driving, hard core beating and normal city/highway driving.
Total KMs on my car is now 252,000kms
