SLR intercooler paint finish?

Anyone know what the paint finish used on the SLR intercoolers are? Like a matt /satin black powder coating, but has a fairly abrasive feel?

It looks to me to be black wrinkle finish. VHT makes some decent spray can stuff to do it.

I don't think AMG thought we would be making 200chp more than stock with the M113K's so I don't think they expected the fuel issues.

We have a solution now though!

A thought...

If you want to do it yourself you might try emailing a photo or two to Eastwood to solicit their advise. They have tons of finishes and could probably advise the best color/style paint to match what you are looking for.

Here is an example: http://www.eastwood.com/ew-wrinkle-p...sol-12-oz.html

Good luck!

Looks like dual fuel inlets too. Wonder if the SLR runs 2 pumps.

Those pods on the side are fuel pressure regulators right? They could just loop into the fuel inlet feed and balance the pressure left : right ... perfectly.

Pretty neat design.

Could also be dual pump....

Check out columbiacoatings.com. I buy my powder there.
The someple colors have some examples of coated parts.
Check out the texture powders and look at wrinkle red and black.
