Let me see, spend $5k or $10k. Both will net me the same PROVEN results, so I might as well go with the more expensive option.
I know it's more of a "if I can, I will" and "it's my money, so f it" thing but wouldn't $5k still be worth every penny?

Hay , let the man be happy with his car , I'm not mad at him , he just wants the security that the company will be around and back their products . if he wants to spend his money let him , it his ... PEACE .... Badm look at all the people who spent money on modds from a company that's gone or change their name for law suit protection.

The logic behind this statement is baffling.

You are also paying to reliability and I also live in FL so they could do it directly.
Renntech do all the legwork for their products unlike other tuners.
It's like comparing at Rolex to a Breitling... Rolex does it all , Breitling uses 3rd party for many components.

The second line I quoted is valid, though. You're paying for peace of mind to have your tuner local. Mine is too

So basically tune and pulley is the biggest mod? everything after is of lesser importance?
What else gives you 60whp

If you're going to go for bang-for-your-buck, I would say that long tubes would be a good bet in your pursuit of power. It looks like that's the direction yo're going in one of your other threads. It won't raise heat any more than your pulley now, and will provide almost as much power as a pulley and tune [if not equal amounts].
At some point you will end up maxing out your injectors too, and this motor has shown a propensity to fail during WOT runs. Based on what I've read here and what other members have experienced, we have a recent solution to that with an injector and fuel rail combo, from TTM.
When it really comes down to it, just protect your investment at all costs, and go with whatever mods make you most happy. Other members, along with past threads, can try and give you objective opinions, but what you do to your car ultimately has to be what you want.

First of all it's not the same results... what other tuners give you 60+hp gain to the wheels after only ecu and pulley...
You are also paying to reliability and I also live in FL so they could do it directly.
Renntech do all the legwork for their products unlike other tuners.

There is something to be said for a local tuner that you feel comfortable with and if piece of mind is worth the extra expense to you, you are pulling out the pocketbook, not anyone else. I for one would never pay twice the amount of money for a fairly standard mod like a pulley and tune, there is just too much information out there that supports the other vendors consistent results that would put me at ease.
