lasered at 92 mph...
Pulled over today going 92 on a wide open freeway...saw him jump in his car so I pulled over right away. Luckily I mentioned that I work at the local hospital and was just very polite "yes sir, I know I was speeding, sorry sir. please check my driving record, I have a clean record". Also must've been in a good mood because he gave me just a verbal warning on speed but a fix it ticket for no front plate. Bummer is that I don't want to drill my front bumper (which is a brabus rocket).
Does anyone know how/if I can get away with somehow attaching the front license plate for inspection without actually drilling holes into it?
Also, does anyone know roughly how much that speeding ticket would have cost me? I figure about $4-500?
(sorry for posting on the e55 board, but the cls forum is pretty dead)

In Cali, fixit tickets do not go through judges whatsoever. They're checked off by an officer at police station, and then the ticket is paid for at the court.
I do not believe the cops will take zip ties though, they're pretty strict here. Most of them demand that they're actually drilled into the bumper with screws. But if you REALLY want to deceive them, shave off a few screws, superglue the heads onto the license plate, and then use 3M tape to connect the plate and the bumper. Make it look convincing though, or they're going to look closely and notice you're BSing them![rolf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)
Otherwise you can pay the fine of like, $500 to write off the fixit ticket and not put on the plates at all.

As far as the license plate, I too do not have a front plate nor do I want to drill into my bumper. I have found this option which seems like it may be fun as I could have it hidden and if I got pulled over pop it out and be like "what do you mean I don't have a front plate officer???"

lol. pretty close. I'm the director of the radiology dept at a level II trauma center. I have used that a couple times and both times it worked to get out of tickets. I make sure to show them my work badge. We work pretty close with local LE and chp. In fact, the LAPD brought one of their officers who was shot during a domestic violence call a couple weeks back. Thankfully he pulled through.

FYI ; from what i have been told for laser tickets since i beat one they usually point @ the front plate for a reflection and this is how laser works . i beat my ticket based on the fact that he claimed laser but he wrote radar on ticket .

You guys stop when the blues come on? I was doing 130 and saw the cop turn on his lights and puched it to 160-170 for about 20 seconds and took the first exit.
Me and my cuz were rancing and we both bounced on the cop.
I figured at that speed plus racing is automatic jail and car towed so we were like **** it and punched it.I didnt sleep that night feering they cought me on camera off the exit.

LMAO I worked at level II as well in the ER as an FP in SoCal. Twice I flashed my badge and got off. Once on the 10 caught at 110 and a second time on the 405 going 95. The officer told me I like you docs. Do you think you can keep it under a hundred? Im not pushing my luck and I have invested in a laser/k ,X band radar detector. Plus Im in Missouri now and not sure they are as forgiving as CHP.

Different county probably (I think you were pulled in LA) but in the OC- I have a pending no plates visable ticket and the officer checked the fixable box; the fee is 25 and proof of correction or 225 and no correction.
Im so lazy im just gonna pay the 225.
Its not a moving violation so no points on the record here in Cali.
