Don't throw stones amg guys
Well I did not go with the 2006 e55 amg in Tempe. There were to many questions and it hardly had any options. I went with this 550i instead loaded sport model with cpo wrrnty and maint. package. Yes its a tad slower than most amgs and the m series, but is a hell of a lot of fun to drive. I did have my first problem though, a nail in a run flat tire. 575.00 to relplace for exact replacement tire.Ouch! I still love this car its like my old 540i but better. Anyway you might beat me to the light but I wont care as much this time, I wont be far behind!

OMG I almost sold my car to a guy that drove a 550 for 26 grand.I wish I had his texts for the 3 days on how my cars power and handling blew him away.
LOL if you were to drive my car your would sell that pos in a heart beat.Im so glad the guy backed out on my car,after putting the new wheels on and lowering it I fell in love with it again.
running 11.3s is just a bonus
You paid 575 for a tire? you could of bought 2 brand new pilot super sports shipped installed and ballanced with enough to fill your tank after at that price.

WTF...I leave MBWorld for a few days and people went nuts. The 550i is not a bad ride, but I would rather have a CLS500/550 or E550 before I bought one. AMG's and an 550i should not even be mentioned in the same sentence. That is a sin isn't it?

I did not say I paid 575.00 I said thats what they want. The tire is still driveable and Im trying to get dealership to repair. I said I found a nail in it. You guys do the same thing to someone who buys an amg and complains about 1500.00 shocks, that amg had 5 owners and valve gasket problems twice, fixed one shock under warranty, so other ones are probably about to go too. So to all the haters, listen to cee-lo!

Also, I almost bought a 550 before I got the E55. Not hate from me here, I love the 550. It's just VERY slow in comparison to the E55 ( although not slow in general ). You say it's a TAD slower but the difference is GIGANTIC. It has 100+hp more.
Also, who buys $1500 shocks for their AMG? I sure don't...lol.

Why would you post that here, what'd you expect? Congrats on the purchase and all but you won't find support here. Sounds like you didn't want an e55 enough and should've looked around. 550 is cool and all but no comparison to the beasts that lurk in this forum.

There are a lot of hard working Americans that would never dream they could own either of those two cars so quit acting like a bunch of *****s because he bought a lowly 550.

Why would he post this in here?I never even knew he was looking for an E55,its not like people know him here.
Let me go start a thread on M5 board saying.... Sorry guys the M5 was nice but it had problems with the SMG and it needed 1500 to fix it and in the car fax it said it was in the shop 4x for SMG problems.I ended up gettnig the E55 and the M5 is way slower anyway.
Ohh and the E55 needs new tires because its so fast,but just wanted to let everyone know that I got an E55.

There is a lot of information on these cars here on this forum, and it would not be here without the members. There are people who would be put-off by this sort of content, and will stop contributing to the knowledge pool that all of us stand to benefit from.

I already took that into consideration but I didn't want to comment on that as I am still in my 20s as well.
What I don't think people realize is that this kind of behavior turns away users, new and existing. There is a lot of information on these cars here on this forum, and it would not be here without the members. There are people who would be put-off by this sort of content, and will stop contributing to the knowledge pool that all of us stand to benefit from.
