Depends on the wheel offset and whether your car is lowered or not. You should be able to run 285s on a 9.5" wide wheel that has an offset of et35.

I agree. My 20s were 10" wide and 285s fit. The 19s must have a different offset. Looks killer, though...and don't rub enough to worry. Oh, and the car is pretty low.

Mantooth...I had 285/30/19 on SL65 OE 19" wheels...it was lowered by Kleeman ELM and had Nittos on them...no rub. The offsets on your wheels are probably the culprit.

like amgfan said it's probably due to offset or rim size. Im running 285/30/19 on a 19x10.5 et 35 and had to pull my fenders to lower the car and tuck the tires. FYI, rolling isn't bad but the rears fenders are ridicoulously strong and were a PITA to pull, required not only a fender roller but I had to use my body hammers as well.

Rennen must have an aggressive offset for E55, then. They fit, slightly rub, but not enough to worry. Barely even rub on Sport II, cornering hard.

I just assumed most custom wheels for the E55 had the same offsets unless specified.

I was wrong.

they look good, i like the offsets you have, plus the added meat is nice.

It seems as if my left rear tire sticks out farther than my right one...

Left one rubs, right one doesn't.

Right is 1/2" higher than left.

I guess I need to an alignment and recalibration.

If it's not one thing, it's another.
