I saw a thread a while back that had numerous codes and their corresponding meaning, iirc Shardul posted a bunch of codes.

You should try one of the ELM327 bluetooth adapters with REV

If you figure out how to do it on an 05, I'd be nursing a semi at the very thought.

Try the AUTO button for 10 seconds. I think that is the button I used on my '06, but I'm not 100% sure.

Quote: Hello All,

Figured it out this morning....

For the 05-06 model's we hold the driver side AUTO BUTTON feature for 10 second's.

Once Climate Control Data menu pops up, use the driver side TEMP UP & TEMP DOWN for toggle.

Enjoy,
Johnny Ng
If you get a semi, don't post pics!

I'm not the only one:
It worked for me last July when I was having issues on the way back from Miami after buying my ride? I don't think the temp settings have anything to do with it. Just hold down the AUTO button for 10 seconds or so.

Tried to again today when I drove to lunch, gave up after like 30 seconds, has to be something to do with the de-optioning as this car progressed from 03-06, but I'm wondering why 06's have it if 05's dont.

I don't know, but I'm very sure it's #8. It behave exactly what the IAT read thru the scanner.

This was discussed in the hidden features thread. #8 is refrigerant temperature, not IATs.

it is not number 8. because it behave like scanner, but when you put the scanner and use the AC method. you can see the diffrence between the number. huge diffrence.

mine was 2005. and i couldn't use this option on the AC. but on my friends 2004. i saw big diffrence between scanner and #8

Not sure where the AUTO button is coming in on this. On my 03, it's the Off/Rest button that you hold for a few secs. Try that doc and others that can't get it working.

No need to worry bout temp, that was on the W210.

AUTO is the button used on the later models. We don't have a REST button. See post #6.

I actually posted a pic in the other thread about this, the 2005's don't have a Rest button.
