Hate to dig up an old thread, but was wondering if a solution was found for those of us that holding "auto" down for >5 seconds doesn't bring up the hidden menu.

My '05 E55 Estate doesn't want to reveal it's hidden secrets.

OHHHH Have I tried and tried.....just will not work so I now have a manuel over ride switch installed for those very hot days . Works perfect and boy that fan is loud but who cares ....brings temps down from 198-205 to 187* real fast.
