Westside Los Angeles service needed!
Santa Monica Mercedes wants to charge me $900 for replacement of brake pads for my 2009 e63! Two questions-
- Need recommendation on a good shop to use.
- Does akebonos make a pad for my car?

2 answers...All 4 rotors have drop in pads. It would literally take you about 1 hour to do all 4. Maybe 2 from moving the jack and taking wheels on and off. Akebono does not make E63 pads but a full set of MB dust makers should be less than $400...

Are you aware of any other ceramic pads? I saw that EBC makes pads but could not find any from posiquiet or porterfield. I'm really sick of the OEM pad dust. Also, you are right on the money for the cost for the oem pads.

I think you have to call EBC and ask...I know a couple people have some version of EBC pads on their E63's...There was one other place but you had to send them your backing plates to get a full brake pad back...
