Bad Day...

Decided it would be a great day to roll the E55 today.

Pulled into the bank this morning to drop the weekends deposits off, came out and noticed this

Hour and a half of getting my poor father to pick me up, go home to get the truck, jack, some tools and 2 rear wheels/tires.

Who's feelin this look?!?!?!

No doubt. $400 this set me back today, plus the $1500 spent last week to repair upper and lower ball joints and control arms and another $250 ish for service B at the stealer...

Just love treating this girl to everything

I'd call it a bad day as well!!!But cant they plug it without you having to buy a new tire? Over the weekend i was moving my 19 hre 847r's and 2 of them fell over on the face side on the street and scuffed up all along the lip. Good thing i already planned to get them refinished!

Sorry about the bad luck. I can sympathize. Same thing happened to me on my driver front PS2. Too close to the sidewall (like yours) to patch correctly. I ended up getting two new fronts. Yeah, I always buy in pairs, esp on the front since steering can often get wonky with a new and an older tire mixed.

It ruined my usual going thru "two sets of rears for each set of fronts" formula for tire replacement. Now I have to wait to burn thru another set of rears and wait to wear these new fronts out, before I can go with the PSSs all around.

I blew out a brand new pilot super sport less than a week after putting my f14s on.I know what its like and that totally recked my day waiting on the highway for a spare tire.

Thanks dima for leaving that wheel haha.I now have a full spare in the trunk.

Yep, it comes in handy when your father hasn't had a job in 10+ years. He's always looking for something to do half way through the day.

Love you pop.

Damnit... Who put the question mark on the teleprompter?!

They are the cheapest available wheels from tire rack. MSW's I think with cheap AMG center caps... 18x8.5 all around and I would never recommend them to anyone.

I had this happen to me, many many years ago when, I owned a Mustand Cobra. Luckily the shop near by had used tires for sell Picked one up cheap for $40, until I could purchased another OEM tire.

That is the problem, with getting anything in the sidewall or on the edge between the sidewall and the thread. They can't be patched, plugged or repaired. The tire has to be replaced...period. Just imagine traveling at 80 mph, and the plug lets go......not only are you endangering your life but those around you as well.

Sorry the OP wasn't mindful of the hardship you must have experienced in your life. Don't be a dickbag.

I've had a PS2 go for no good reason and it's always a bummer. Happened on my way to work, on the GSP here in NJ. Had to get my car towed to a state impound lot where AAA could pick it up (stupid NJ politics). 6 hour ordeal, so I know your pain.
