I just took my car in for its annual inspection and was told that it was throwing an error code for the emissions inspection. The technician asked if I had a power interruption since the last inspection and I realized I had changed out both the main and accessory batteries. So not only do you have to reset window function, ESP etc. after power interruption, you also have to reset emissions and go through a number of miles of driving and cycling on and off with the engine before they can run the emissions test. MB did the reset and I am to retrun the car for emissions testing in a week.
